Do you love plants, but have a black thumb? Don't worry - me too ;) Why not create your very own needle-felted succulents that will look adorable on your kitchen windowsill or as a gift for family and friends? Best of all... never worry about watering them! Learn the basics of needle felting in this fun and informative workshop. You will create three plant sculptures nestled in 2.5" terracotta pots. This workshop is designed to allow you to to build your skills as you go - we will start with the simple “ball” succulent, then move onto the cactus, and finish with the moon succulent. This way, you will learn to build each shape, which is incorporated into each successive sculpture. We will finish the class by adding the details to each piece, and “planting” them in the pots! The participants will be using sharp needles (I’ll have finger guards available to use to mitigate injuries). I’ll go over some safety tips and techniques to minimize pokes, but this workshop should really only be attended by folks who are 14+ and who have full fine-motor control of their hands and fingers. All materials are supplied and included in the cost. Host: Tara Charbonneau
